Sofia Marchesini

Sofia is a Senior Material Chemist in Applied Sciences in bp, where she applies her expertise to solve material science challenges across different sectors. She is passionate about bridging the gap between fundamental research and industrial applications. Sofia has extensive experience in characterising materials and tuning their properties at the nanoscale to optimise product performance. She holds a degree in Material Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer with IOM3. Sofia is also an alumna of bp-ICAM, where she completed her PhD under the supervision of Dr Camille Petit (Imperial) and Dr Les Bolton (bp).
